NDS rules. Microsoft is at least 1 year off minimum from coming close. Remember, it is NDS that sells seats, then comes Groupwise to tag along, as well as Border Manager. Also, I just came back form a night in Rolling Meadows, IL (last Thursday) where we held the partner technology briefing on Zenworks. This blows any desktop management out of the water. Heres why... Before, for a Help Desk manager to take control of a users desktop, he had to use a separate app, make sure it was installed on the client desktop, and make sure the desktop had the client software running to take control and find the specific client to take control of. With ZEN (Zero effort Networking), he just opens up NWADMIN( the same NDS utility he uses to create users...), asks the user what his login name is and Voila!!! I know a lot of you guys\gals are investors, not techies. Take it from a techie that does this every day. This stuff is the shit! We, as well as quite a few resellers out their, have so many add on Novell packages besides the core NOS for a new sale, its ridiculous. Here is an recent sale 1. IntraNetware 2. Border Manager 3. Groupwise 4. Managewise Thats a home run folks. When Zen is released, any 25 user network and greater will get a quote from us automatically, or any network that we manage remotely. We are pumped on Novell products and continue to push them. Comparison from the trenches GroupWise vs. Exchange --------------even Netware SB vs. NT-----------------------------slight advantage NT Netware vs. NT for Enterprise-------------NETWARE!!! SMS vs. Managewise-------------------------MW IIS vs. WebServer-----------------------------IIS Border vs. no worthy comparison ZEN vs.....no worthy comparison Good luck to all ...NDS rules
