I've worked in the computer field since 1974. They have to beta test any software needed for the web site. It takes time to design, code and test any software. I've done programming. It's important for the web site software to work well or customers won't come back. The hardware (internet server, internet bandwidth, etc.),database and software also needs to be scalable so that as the number of internet connections increases they can handle it without things slowing to a crawl. They need to be able to handle an ever increasing number of transactions. Lucky Lawrence
