Michael,
phone service in Aussie land is very expensive. VOIP should be
revolutionary down there, IMO. The gov't is also pro-internet
services and has clearly stated that they don't intend on interfering
with its development.

As far as competition, OZEMY currently offers its Interline service.
They are the largest ISP and growing quickly. But with the
traditional telephone monopoly down there, it offers plenty of
opportunity.
