I don't think people realize the magnitude of this problem, nor the magnitude of DF-144 as a solution.

We are somewhat fortunate in that the media's attention has been on the tobacco companies, who have a tremendous lobby, and will likely prevail.

Had the media chosen MTBE as its "carcinogen of choice" to attack, the MTBE manufacturers would be far more organized in their lobby. However, with the actions of Speaker Gingrich last week regarding his appointment to the House Ways & Means Committee, it is evident they are not.

It is simply a matter of time.
