Bingo!

So that's what I should be calling my 5 (now 6, now 7) horsemen MSOCs!

That to me is the essence of the LSI model - these monster high volume highly integrated chips. Those Product Cycles will be big.

Again the Street is missing a fundamental shift in LSI's business because they are focusing on the immediate future and earnings.

Longer term we shall see!

Shane. (thanks - excellent article. so while others are on SOCs LSI is moving onto MSOCs! One of the questions I really wanted to ask LSI at the meeting was the volume distribution of their chips now and what they expect it to be in the future - if this histogram changes the way I think it should - we have the confirmation of a subtle change in LSI's business - one that the street is missing - and bingo we are more than likely golden long term.)

...several prototypes of which were displayed to shareholders at their annual meeting. One was a "global phone" that can be programmed to accept GSM, TDMA, CDMA and AMPS protocols, thus enabling conversations across the world. Three LSI Logic chips form the first version of this multiple systems-on-a-chip...

Dang... I love it when I'm prophetic. It was only about a month ago that I posted a message to this thread Message 3971801 asking if anyone knew if LSI was doing exactly this, and what a SUPER BLOCKBUSTER product it would be. I feel even more comfortable about LSI's future prospects now.
