Gary, thanks for your input. I think you're right about the SS shenanigans. I guess my point should have been that our fiscal situation has been greatly improved since the 80's and our national debt is finally declining. I think this is part of the backdrop that has sent this market up. If it doesn't correct now, then the market will really start to get scary. Today, there is news of lower earnings by HWP and higher CPI numbers, yet the momentum is lifting the market even with evidence of inflation. I'm starting to think that Greenspan should raise rates the smallest fraction just to keep the market from getting out of control. 007
