Dark cloud cover looks exactly like what it is. You would be in an uptrend and have a white candlestick, then the next candlestick would start higher than the white before it, and press down into it- the bigger and blacker the candlestick the better. If the black candlestick body opened above and closed below the white you would have bearish engulfing which is very very bearish. So I would love a bearish engulfing, but I don't want to be greedy and I'll settle for dark cloud cover. The rickshaw man I talked about six days ago is merely a very small body, with long top and bottom shadows (the shadows are the thread like projections from the body of the candle). There is a great book on candlesticks by Steve Nison, I ordered it from Amazon and have used it a lot.

We have dark cloud cover- missed a bearish engulfing by ~3/8 of a point.
