I think when more vendors offer more products, then things start getting really interesting (ie. walk to jog state). Seems like a lot of us have been waiting for eternity on when FC starts taking off (outside of SQNT), but from what I still gather, the large companies (CPQ/DEC, IBM, SUN, HP, SGI, etc...) are still moving toward it and should announce more product as the year goes on. I'm glad to hear the ASIC design is very detailed. Roy or anyone, Do you have any idea if Vixel is still planning on going public by the Fall? Roy, Wanted to know your thoughts on digital FC hubs? Do you see the hub guys moving this way? Emulex, which doesn't seem to be winning any oem biz, claims they will have a digital FC hub on the market in several months. Are these gonna be any threat to the analog hubs gadzoox, vixel, and you guys offer? An emulex fellow I talked to claimed that analog hubs are just like a 'big repeater' and that digital hubs can actually read a bad signal and replace it as it goes though? thanks for any thoughts, all imho pigboy
