As a long term investment I think it would be a poor choice. But I have not looked at this technically and specifically as a ST trade. IMO Novell is a good example of poor management and I have not seen anything to change this opinion of mine around. Has there been any very positive developments including proof in the financials that this company finally has focus and understands the market they are trying to pursue?

As you can see, Novell is a company that has a history with me, and not a good one at that. Novell along with companies like Informix will go down in the textbooks as examples on how not to run a company. The Informix story can go under the heading "Creative Accounting to Paper Profits". Informix has new management that has produced positive initial results, so the next quarter or two will tell if a turnaround will be successful.

Candlesticks (Automatically done by Metastock. Accuracy Unverified)

A big white candle occurred. This is generally considered bullish, as prices closed significantly higher than they opened. If the candle appears when prices are "low," it may be the first sign of a bottom. If it occurs when prices are rebounding off of a support area (e.g., a moving average, trendline, or retracement level), the long white candle adds credibility to the support. Similarly, if the candle appears during a breakout above a resistance area, the long white candle adds credibility to the breakout.
During the past 10 bars, there have been 6 white candles and 4 black candles for a net of 2 white candles. During the past 50 bars, there have been 22 white candles and 26 black candles for a net of 4 black candles.
