The following is just ONE of the refrains repeated over and over in these newsgroups. A question asking if they would buy an Iomega Vapor!

Here is just one of the responses from <rec.photo.digital>.

I wouldn' t touch one (Vapor! -ed.) with the proverbial pole. Take some time to monitor the newsgroup alt.iomega.zip.jazz and see what their custromers think of the companies storage products. More of the same shows up in the various storage newsgroups. Look in rec.video.desktop for comments about their new Buz which had terrible problems when it was first released. Ask people who have tried to obtain warranty service from Iomega about their experiences - be sure to look up a few older Iomega customers and ask if they ever received their Zip rebates from two years ago. While you're at it, ask a few customers who recently dealt with Iomega tech service and see how they feel about being charged $15 to speak with Iomega about a warranty problem.

Now let me turn the question around. Would you buy one of these things?
