Mark, don't know who's long distance MCLD resells, but also found out AT&T has been giving a residential flat rate of 10 cents per minute 7 days a week, 24 hour per day (with a approx. $4.95 monthly charge).

I must have been "in the dark" for a long time because I was paying much more than that with AT&T. Of course Qwest's 7 cents beats 10 cents but Qwest's 15 cents for day calls is not competitive with the big T.

I called the Ameritech/Qwest 800 business number and acted like a small business man. The phone attendants read "word for word" from papers you could hear turn in the background. If you ask them a question "out of order" from their notes you throw them for a loop.

I asked why should I buy Qwest's business service for nine and a half cents per minute when I can get it for eight cents with MCLD? The guy stumbled for a couple of minutes, put me on hold, and then came back and asked me to repeat my question.

This is the classic service I've been use to with Ameritech.
