You understand completely.

Now, since ordinary shares are held in Hong Kong, warrants show up
in my account. I have some Gold Peak warrants that I would not have received under the "old system".

The only glitch is I cannot exercise the warrants, but I CAN
sell them. At least I am getting the cash equivalent now instead
of absolutely nothing.
