Probably, I should have said "Apple invented the first practical laser printer." Just as the wright brothers invented flight, but it took major innovations to make airplanes practical. For instance, Xerox didn't sell their printer at a business or consumer level until well after Apple. Ok, so we're splitting hairs now.

Fair enough.

That was really my point - the difference between invention and innovation. The Wright Brothers, you could say, invented the airplane. Someone else invented the jet engine, and the application of the jet engine to the airplane was a major innovation. On any level, I agree, Apple has been innovative.
