CharlieBoy, I'm sure even you would agree that ALYD's latest move opens a new era for the company. Speaking as one entrepreneur to another (I presume), I think you know first-hand how you need an "us against them" mentality to overcome all the obstacles thrown in your path-- all the people who will inevitably scoff at your idea and tell you it will never work or you'll never be able to compete against so and so.

But once you've made it, it takes another discipline entirely to keep the engine running smoothly. You have to put down the sword, smile, and start pressing the flesh. Not an easy transition to make, and often not an advisable one either as you risk getting outflanked by the next hungry entrepreneur that comes along.

Say what you want about Bob Gruder, but he certainly has built up a successful business from scratch. Now with everyone yapping about how ALYD won't be around post 2000 you can bet he's going to work overtime to assure he proves everyone wrong again. Anyone that doubts ALYD is in for the long haul should look no further than the 10 year lease they signed today on a brand new building at Two Morrocroft Centre.
