"Stupid questions" are usually "stupid" only in the mind of
the asker. Ask what you think is a stupid question, and I
will bet that there are 100 lurkers saying to themselves,
"Gee, I'm glad he asked that. I always wondered about it."

Not to say you can't ask a genuinely stupid question if
you set out to do it, but it's more work than it's worth <G>.

Ask away. Of course, you may get a stupid answer to an
intelligent question <GG>. My specialty.
