I'll bet First Boston knows something about sales contracts that we don't. $8 million is probably what it will take just to fill current orders. Hopefully payment on these orders will allow the company to fill future orders.

One disappointment, though - Par and John have repeatedly stated that they had loan agreements with a U.S. bank and also some foreign group that together would provide several million $. I had hoped they'd use that agreement for growth. Maybe the interest rate was too high.

But you can bet First Boston is confident they'll make money on this deal. Will be interesting to see what the conditions are. Sometimes a clause is added that allows the issuer to redeem the preferreds by a certain date. Maybe payment for deliverables will allow redemption. Actually, I think we win either way.

I would like to withdraw my comments on Volpe shares, I understand what they have done to the company even through some of us (including myself) do not like another floorless convertible debt. If First Boston buys Osicom common shares or loan them some additional credit line as a part of this deal, it will show more supportive.

Let us see the Form 8K.

<< I would expect that having a major name like First Boston behind Osicom will send a clear message to other Wall St firms that these guys are for real >>

What gives you that impression? How many countless times have we heard about some big billion dollar company or billion dollar market associated with Osicom? Does it stop them from bleeding cash and diluting your equity with millions of new shares? Does it stop them from reporting revenue declines?

NOPE...
