Out of the blue......this was posted on Yahoo this afternoon. What's your take on it? Chevron, Shell and AIPN.BillPFP May 14 1998 5:45PM EDTJust had a very interesting conversation with a person in the IR department in San Francisco at Chevron. Asked about the prospects of the Caspian region for Chevron shareholders and he said they look bright. Chevron in conjuction with Shell is about to finialize a huge deal that will more than double their involvement in the Caspian Region. He went on to say that another Tengiz has been found and they will add that to their reserves. I then asked if that was the AIPN region... he said yes that's it. I asked if its another company's...this AIPN's, how is Chevron going to get it. He said that they have $6 billion to spend on it. wow, I mean WOW! Call them yourself, see if you get the same story.
