Random thoughts...

Where are all the Chinese fleeing Indonesia going? What percentage of population is Chinese?

My Chinese Malaysian wife watching the riots turned to me "Could this happen in Malaysia, you know back in 1968....". I doubt it after I visited Malaysia last year....Just want to confirm that this Indonesian episode have not affected them in a major way, right?

Listening to NPR this morning, a jounrnalist in Jakarta observing the riots said that the crowd was chanting: "We are hungry, Kill Suharto".....

What happens if Pakistan in their rush to test a bomb have a little accident.....

Speaking with some Iranian friends here all they care for is June 21st: Iran - USA in the World Cup.

I would appreciate any comments on HKT Hong Kong Telecommunications...

George

Very, very interesting Fitch report on Malaysia. Further to my deflation scenario. Keep your passports handy.

What great information we are developing on this thread. A great resource and delight. My congratulations to all of you!

Tom keep your head down.

My best to you Stitch and Bernie and your wife,
