OFF TOPIC reply re Xanax. Not sure what exactly you mean by "side effects," but I'll try. First, you have to remember that ANY drug has potential side effects in people with increased sensitivity. Sometimes, the effects are immediate and range from being mild to being severe and life-threatening. Other effects tend to be cumulative in that they only manifest themselves over time and can occur even in people who have historically tolerated the drug well. And some people have side effects at the beginning of treatment but none as time passes. All that having been said, the most common side effect of Xanax is drowsiness, especially in the beginning. Other people complain of light-headedness and dizziness. Then there are a whole host of possibilities which include contradictory things such as fatigue/insomnia and constipation/diarrhea. Some people have blurred vision. Anyone on this drug should absolutely not consume alcohol. Anyway, if you're taking Xanax (or know someone who is) and you think that the drug might be responsible for physical and/or behavioral changes, you should contact your physician. Hope this was useful. Good luck. Jean
