Another thing that DELL does which may increase the value to the 'end user' is that DELL will load the 'customer' software on the system. I know that this just seems like an easy task, but from personal experience, of being involved with loading an SCO Unix system on some 40 HWP 486 computers (late '80s), and finding the following:

1) Systems would take up to 4 hours to load from the various disk sources.

2) Systems had to be 'reloaded' when some 'glitch' didn't show up until we tried to 'boot' up.

3) Some systems never came up after multiple attempts and had to be sent back to HWP for repair.
