Dr.Vee, I think you have seen this latest article from Yahoo.
I don't think the riots are going to change the general nature of telecommunications in Indonesia. The industry is largely controlled by the government and they limit the dominance of foreign-held businesses in the country. This is one of DGIV's many profit centers.
Looks like we have lots of them as per last night's LiveChat w/ RTempleton.

I think no more side trips to Indonesia for JC, for a while.

"Many hotels in Jakarta were fully booked by employees who feared trying to return to their homes after the riots
halted public transport.

Most of the shops attacked belonged to Indonesia's ethnic Chinese minority, who form less than five per cent of
the population of the world's fourth most populous nation but account for 80 percent of its wealth.

Some ethnic Chinese said they were being pulled out of their cars and the vehicles either driven away or set on
fire. "

Dr. Vee... Are you conducting an experiment? The instant I saw your name I cringed and knew what to expect. I think as a safe bet, you should go against your instinct. PLFM not living up to your dropping expectations today is it? Asking the DGIV thread if they should all liquidate their positions so that they can protect there profits is the craziest thing I've ever heard. People here buy MORE to protect their profits and thereby expect even more. Your question just makes me think you are looking for peoples reactions. My honest feedback is to buy as much DGIV as you can as soon as possible before the next 50-100% increase.
Kurt

PS What is it with posters that put Dr. in their name?

DrVee
If you are GENUINE in your question as a "LONG" INVESTOR regarding Indonesia and DGIV, THE GLOBAL COMPANY (we have HEARD and will soon SEE proof of its GLOBAL presence with Indonesia being but one dot on the map), DO NOT SELL but rather BUY MORE if you can . You will SOON be rewarded! There have actually been MANY POSTS regarding this question the last few days that will alleviate your concern.

However, if you are being disingenuous with your question, trying to carry out a contrary agenda with an ulterior motive, desperately and pathetically trying to bring down the share price (such as being short or working with the MMs), PLEASE SELL YOUR SHARES TOMORROW- I (and I suspect most if not all of the "long" investors) would be GLAD to buy your shares from you (as I have been doing the last couple of days).

Dr. Vee,

We have posted several times here on this thread how the troubles in Indonesia
MAY affect DGIV. In simple language, THEY WILL NOT.
You can start by reading the message from JC himself on the information board.

Then, realize that the country is REFORMING itself and this does NOT occur overnight.

Indonesia is undergoing amazing changes, which in time will solidify its future.
Political prisoners and likely going to be released .
New elections are at the forefront of all discussions.
Habibie had promised a reformed government.
These are necessary changes for the future.

DGIV does own a telephone company there. Yes, that is true. There are
guaranteed revenues coming from this deal. Lets say that again...GUARANTEED.

DGIV is in many other countries as we are a GLOBAL company.
Contracts from other continents are on the near horizon.

If you want to sell, please do so if this gives you peace.
As for myself, I am more comforted knowing I own part of the company.
