I think Barb is referring to the fact that ENML bought the patent for under $10K when no one else wanted it. It's been a while since I reviewed the ENML story, but if my memmory is still intack, ENML bought the remineralization patent from the ADA for $6,000. This was one of many patents the ADA held, and held, and held with no interest from any of the larger players. Certainly the big players like Colgate and Crest and everybody else knew of the patent, but they did not bite, even for a few thousand. Either the larger toothpaste makers missed something here, or they evaluated the technology (from their own research) and concluded it was not worth paying $6,000 for.

I may have some of my facts confused, so be advised to do your own Due Diligence. I think all of the info on ENML's patents is on this thread.
