becoming apparent that as L2 moves on die, and as bus speeds increase to 133 -266mhz and beyond that this design will continue to outperform the competition at a competative price. AMD won't reach those bus speeds with socket7 or it's derivatives.

By the time bus speed goes to 133mhz+, both PII and K6 have already retired. While Slot 2 is going to be 100mhz bus, Slot A may be higher. I am just guessing on this but history has shown that late comers can up the antes.
