This is NEWS. Brand name acquisition like that should attract some attention, cautionary note withstanding. Released after market close so, we can imagine (or hope for) positive reaction tomorrow.

I've been averaging down and recently realized that my position had swelled above what I intended (I missed accounting one buy in my ledger). I think this stock has great potential and will see its "day in the sun".

LOS GATOS, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Digital Video Systems Inc. (DVID) said it expects fourth quarter results to be "significantly below" management expectations.

Additional information wasn't immediately available.

In a press release Thursday, the company said ongoing issues continue to hurt its Panyu, China facilities, in which it holds a 90% controlling interest.

The company said it expects its acquisition of Hyundai Electronics Industries Co.'s DVD -ROM technology assets to improve its overall manufacturing and research and development capabilities.

Digital Video Systems Inc. reported a loss of $4.3 million, or 36 cents a share, on revenues of $4.6 million for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 1997.

Digital Video provides digital video compression and decompression hardware and software.
