Dave, thanks very much for the information, which I will most definitely read. Appreciate your comments about @Home. I've experienced an'order of magnitude' increase in speed since dropping my phone line and AOL..... clearly much better than 2X. Perhaps I'm spoilt since I now have a 333Mghtz pentium with 8meg accelerated video and a PCI ethernet card( all already obsolete!), and, presently, speed is not a problem at all.

If the big, fat, cable pipe is not the answer to delivering bandwidth, into the home, what do you believe will be? Any thoughts would be appreciated, since I am trying to consider all possibilities.

Thanks again for this terrific discussion group.

Regards

Ray
