Wireless Data Solutions and Angellcom Communications Sign Letter of Intent

LEESBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 1998--Wireless Data Solutions Inc. (OTC BB:SOLU - news), announced Tuesday that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Angellcom Communications Inc. of Santa Monica, Calif. involving a 220 MHz wireless network in Mexico.

The name of an existing subsidiary of the company has been changed to Angellcom International Inc. of which Angellcom Communications will own 49% and Wireless Data will own 51%. The subsidiary has no debt, and the initial assets will consist of 10 U.S. 220 MHz narrowband channels, and 49% ownership of Radiodigital 220 (RD220), a Mexican corporation.

RD220 was selected by the Mexican government to install and test a 220 MHz system in Mexico City giving the company the responsibility for all phases. Roberto Zambrano of Mexico is President of RD220. He is chairman of the board of Telecommunications Publicas y Privadas, S.A., a board member of CEMEX, the world's third largest cement company and a customer of Wireless Data, and a board member of Banco Mexicano and Banca Serfin, and a number of other companies. Marc Angell is CEO and the founder of Angellcom Communications and was instrumental in founding Roamer One Network which is owned by Intek Global Corp. (NASDAQ:IGLC - news), the largest provider of 220 MHz systems in the world. Erik Wallsten, a Mexican citizen, is serving as manager of RD220 and is considered a telecommunications specialist in the areas of telephone, data, satellite and computer systems. His consulting clients have included Morgan Bank, Chase Bank, RCA, GM, GTE, Hughes and others. Midland Radio which is owned by IGLC, has delivered the equipment for the test site. Testing will be done in conjunction with COFETEL, a branch of the Communication and Transport Ministry of Mexico, and is expected to take 6-12 weeks after installation. RD220 intends to build-out a nationwide operating 220 MHz voice and data system in Mexico.

Mike McLaughlin, CEO and president of Wireless Data Solutions said: ''Our contribution to this project is funding and management participation. Funding will commence upon completion of the business plan which is being prepared. The interest is growing rapidly with contributing factors being Mexico's 6% growth rate in 1997, telecommunications being recognized as a top priority, a strong management team, and tremendous revenue potential. I believe funding will be completed quickly, and we could have revenue contribution to Wireless Data before the end of the year. As part of our Letter of Intent, we have the right of first refusal to acquire Angellcom Communications.''
