One could even use the word "permanent"

My 2c about INTC-MSFT developer relations: INTC is in the little
leagues in this respect (if at all). IMHO MSFT is so far ahead of
INTC in every respect its frightening sometimes.

I have both MSFT & DELL (& INTC) after having sensibly diversified
from a 100% INTC portfolio, so I can observe and profit from the
battle of the titans.

I don't think so. How many companies have tried, unsuccessfully, to copy Intel's 32 bit and 64 bit microprocessor technologies, IBM's S360-370-390 technologies, all of which are the basis, or will be the basis of the most wildly successful data processing products, in terms of sales, ever??? I could go on. Oh, BTW, these two I companies will continue to dominate, wildly.
