as a rule of thumb the placement of a market order before the open is ill-advised!

Best way to enter a gapper I've found is to let it open then place a stop buy 1/4 point above the high. This is assumming the stock spends the first few minutes deciding which way it's heading.

I've be in xybrw for over a year. (see net and spear fishing string on SI where buy recommendation started at 3/16 making yesterdays close a 9 banger for these purchase). I'd recommend a net (open buy) at 1 1/4 as xybrw can get very volitile. Watch for a opening spike and a drop off 10 to 15 min later for a spear location (market buy). I'll sell some on the spike to clear the remainder of my principal on buys yesterday at 7/8. (see notes on net sting posts on future sell points.)
