I have never heard anything but superlatives when people talk about Mr. Milligan. Praise comes even from mgmt. at a local competitor (who worked w/ Frank at IBM) as well as ex-ALYD Europe head Mr. Finlay, which I'm sure both Delbert and Charlie Boy can confirm.
Look forward to seeing many of you in Charlotte next Friday.

Jeff,

After watching the level II a bit more intently yesterday it is absolutely clear that a concerted shorting is taking place, probably in conjunction with some of the reg S being sold.

Now, interestingly enough I have had an anonymous communication which suggests the shorts are about to cover because more news, i.e. more than one announcement, is due out next week which will, allegedly push the price back to $16~$18 level.

I have warned some of the reg S lot to maybe stop if they are pursuing an orderly disposal program. I am still not back in so I have no axe to grind whatsoever. Just the messenger. And do not bother PM'ing me because I cannot reveal my source and I have told you everything I was told.

del, trying to be useful despite having no shares.......at the moment.

Here's the article from the Charlotte Observer:

Alydaar to build new headquarters

By DAVID BORAKS
Staff Writer

Alydaar Software Corp. said Thursday it will consolidate its headquarters and production operations next spring in a new 100,000-square-foot building to be developed by the Harris Group at Morrocroft office park off Sharon Road.

The 325-employee computer services firm will occupy all of the building, which is to be called Two Morrocroft Centre, said Robert Gruder, Alydaar chairman and chief executive.

The Harris Group will break ground within a couple of weeks and expects to complete the $12 million building by March, said the group's Johnny Harris. He said the project will include a two-level, 300-car parking deck.

Alydaar is in final negotiations on a 10-year lease, with options for up to 10 additional years, Gruder said.

The project will be built by Charlotte-based Shelco Inc.

Gruder said Alydaar needs to move because of continued growth in its work force and because leases for its two current Charlotte sites are ending.

Meanwhile, Alydaar also anticipates expanding through acquisitions. In April, Gruder said a pair of investment banks -- First Albany Corp. and Hanifen Imhoff -- were scouting for acquisitions that would help Alydaar diversify beyond its core Year 2000 conversion business.

''We're anticipating a lot of growth. We want to be prepared for that,'' Gruder said. ''It's a lot easier to have a consolidated office. (With) the growing pains that we're already experiencing, it does not help having two sites as well.''

Alydaar helps corporations and government agencies fix computer problems related to the date change in 2000, using a proprietary software program called SmartCode. It has grown steadily for the past couple of years and showed its first significant profit in the first quarter of this year.

About 130 employees currently work in Alydaar's 37,000-square-foot
headquarters at 2101 Rexford Road, behind SouthPark mall. Another 150
employees work in 30,000 square feet subleased from Microsoft Corp. near Charlotte Coliseum. Microsoft plans to reclaim that space in August, so those employees will temporarily move to about 30,000 square feet at the Rotunda building at SouthPark before moving to the new headquarters in March.

Also Thursday, Alydaar announced several executive appointments.

Chief operating officer Frank Milligan has been promoted to president, a title previously held by Gruder, who remains chairman and chief executive. Current technology chief Tom Morris takes Milligan's place as chief operating officer. And Jim Jordan becomes technology chief.
