Diamond, a good post, and to the point! People have short memories and forget history. For example, in the 19th century many highways and turnpikes were private. Can you imagine the snarls if we privatized the interstate highways? We're all investors. How about the benefits the SEC provides as watchdogs? While we may not enjoy paying taxes, we should at least be cognizant of the services and benefits we purchase. I don't enjoy writing a monthly check for my mortgage either, but living in my home sure beats pitching a tent. TTFN, ctc
