We need a few things for this thing to move strongly:

1. More "feel good" marketing at SuperComm.
2. Announcements at SuperComm.
3. Record Q4 sales in the ATM line. And record Q4 sales.
4. No more write downs.
5. Growth on the bottom line. Does not necessarily have to be super because TM can sell the transition angle.
6. Those crap analysts upgrade our stock after it moves 5 or 6 points to the plus.

OT
Those morons upgraded YBM Magnex the day before they ceased trading. The day D&T started making noise, they reduced it to a hold.
Let's take a short list of really bad calls:
Bre-X
Philip Environmental
YBM Magnex

According to ZACKs, the Street is expecting (i.e. mean estimate is) $0.16 for the 4th quarter and $0.71 for the year. However, the means here are somewhat misleading since there is a large distribution of estimates. Two analysts are projecting higher than $0.28 for this quarter and several analysts are in the $0.08-$0.10 range. The 4 most recent estimates have been around $0.13, so I guess this is what your friend was using as his "consensus" number. Keep in mind that even $0.16 is a downward revised estimate - up until a few months ago the expectation was for $0.20.

I believe the First Call estimate is at $0.15. In any event, since NN turned in $0.28 in this quarter last year, even if we beat estimates NN will still be showing negative year on year EPS growth. As such, I expect the Street to be very focused on what NN says about the future.
