Sire,

Useless. Every company in its right mind automatically declares it WILL be ready for Y2k. What the public needs is an independently certified list of companies that ARE fully Y2k compliant.

Sire -- I was hoping you would comment on my creative and revisionist ending of Titanic in my revious post.

I forgot to mention in that post how much I also enjoyed the chagrined looks on the faces of all the worry-warts who had foolishy taken to the lifeboats. Their having to climb back on board and face the taunting catcalls and barbed comments of those who had believed in the heroic and creative problem solvers' abilities to resuce the ship and set things right should teach us that we need to believe more in our ability to find supernatural genius among us in times of crisis rather than sheepishly look to *lifeboats* as a means of security.

As well that ends well is what I learned from that great movie. If they could find the means to save that troubled ship, I'm just as certain we'll find it possible to take care of a meager compter bug.

No worries, eh?!!
