No that is a solid question ... I was using various websites till I got market rack which is my real time server I pay for monthly. Now with this server I can set up what is called monitor grids. I have a monitor grid for my longs ... BTS ... and one with certain stocks I have researched like rolloers and shells I have done some research on.

Also with in that system is a track alert program which you can set up. You can set up the high & low thresholds, or Updated, or Change of previous value, or Change from previous close. you can have it display an alert window or a beep which you can set the duration of the beep etc.

If I am going to pay $154.00 I want to know before everyone else does of a news release, change in volume, price, previous close, etc and since it is real time I have a 20 minute advantage most of the time. The main key is you have to have the ticker in the monitor database. So I have a lot of the stocks I have done DD on in certain monitor grids.

Since I know the trading logs I know where to set the limits for alerts.

hope this helps
