D-Boy, <more butts in server market, he let the fools waste time and energy in the low end market.>

According to industrial sources (e.g.)
exchange2000.com
the market for servers is around 2.5M units/year, while
the rest (~80M) are apparently all client machines.
Therefore the [low]end clients will always outnumber servers
as 30:1 at least. It remains to be seen who are fools
here: these markets are not conflicting, and they have
different business models. BTW, the DELL BTO model
does not fit the server market whatsoever because the
main value in that market is not how fast you can
screw/snap a machine but software reliability and
service. Dell has none of them.

Therefore, if you think the Dell is so unique and will
dominate the server market, it also remains to be seen.
There is still a "free" market around, and a competition
around every corner.
