Bobby, the govt doesn't care as much about indo becuase U.S. financial institutions have relatively little exposure compared with, e.g., South Korea. But IMO indo is yet another nail in the coffin for the whole Asian block. Considering the high-profile debate over additional IMF funding the past few motnhs, I might have expected more press on the prudence of the IMF's imposing 70% price increases on Indonesia's poor. (I have seen some). I fear we may ultimately find....what goes around, comes around.
