Alpha 21164 and motherboard was at the real time computer show, board starts at $500 plus CPU. Motorola is pushing 604e; and 750 which has backside memory addition. It is like Level two cache in the Pentium systems. Speed increases 20+% with the cache.

RTOS development tools are there. RTOS advancement seems more and more important to include some of the application functions. Fast codes can be in the submicroseconds. Good RTOS is still worth money, coupled with the right cpu and motherboard.

Application of real time computers is now more and more widely spread. Many computer suppliers show they critical applications and methods of solutions.

Attendance is as good as last year.
