24601--I had thought I noticed the same thing about one week ago, but Howard Egan (Post 2030) did not see any change since the last time we had discussed this issue about a month ago. I really cannot recall. The WAVX website says it was last updated 4/20/98, if this means anything.

Thanks for the links to E3. For those who do not know, Creative Labs (or Creative Technology) is a leading manufacturer of sound cards along with graphics accelerator cards, computer speakers, and DVD-ROM drives. It has an interactive entertainment website--Creative Inspire--and has been looking into and developing internet-related products. In the past, they had mentioned something in connection with WAVX, which either did not materialize or was misconstrued at the time. If I recall, I first learned of WAVX on the CREAF SI thread. BTW, CREAF's trading pattern is quite discouraging given its $500,000,000 in cash, its gross margins, and its industry leadership. It often exceeds analysts' expectations, but trades at a PE multiple of less than 10. The most common criticism of the company is that it has been unable to grow revenues, and that improving margins cannot last forever. This information, btw, is somewhat dated, since I stopped following the stock when I got out of it altogether in February (and began to load up on WAVX).

In short, CREAF is aggressive, innovative, tied to new technology (e.g. DVD movies, etc.), and in need of new revenue sources. It has cash available to do new things, and has made some acquisitions recently. Its manufacturing facilities are in Singapore (viz. low-cost), with US offices in the Silicon Valley.

Booth proximity at trade shows, however, is a weak indicator of anything to me, so I'd personally be very hesitant to speculate at all on this front. However, if CREAF does it up with its speakers and graphics cards the way it did at the Fall Comdex last year--one of the more impressive exhibits there in my view--then it will likely draw walk-by "customer flow" in the vicinity of WAVX's booth.
