Frank,
Reading through the last few posts raises an interesting issue. What company or regulatory body will function as the clearing house for financial settlement in the IP telephony world? In the telephony industry today, a few companies provide this service so that carriers can initiate financial settlement between themselves when handing off calls between each other. As we all know, getting the packets transported from end-to-end is only half the problem. How does the business relationship work when a call has to pass across multiple networks from many different companies? Specifically, how does the customer get a total bill for each call in this instance and how do each of the carriers obtain their respective share of the revenue?

Just Curious,
