I have reread my post to see if I gave any indication that I expected the stock price to go lower. I certainly can't find any suggestion of my stock price expectations either up or down over the short term. I am not too concerned about the near term price action. It's too fickle. If I were short term oriented and had bailed out when the share price slid and I would have sold my holdings in Ballard Power, Canadian Pacific, Ericsson, GenSci Regeneration, JDS Fitel, Mpact Immedia, Nortel, Precision Drilling, Pyng Technologies, QLT Phototherapeutics, Stillwater Mining, Suncor Energy and, to the case in question, Nortran, thus, missing the profits(paper) that I currently enjoy.
I'm not clever enough to predict short term market action. As I indicated, my horizon is 3 to 5 years. So daily/weekly and even monthly price movements are of passing concern unless a buying opportunity arises.
Let me clarify my position in relation to Nortran.
1) price drops - I buy
2) stock rises - immediate paper profit
In either case I expect to enjoy good profits in a 3-5 year period.
Regards, Ed
