Gee Chris you are totally missing my point.. Who cares about performance issues.. The bottom line is that if SGI is going to be bought, they need to dump CRAY first, and it smells like that is exactly, what is happening, The reason I brought the issue of CONVEX, is that if "hypothetically speaking" HP is that particular bidder.. They certainly do not want to take the burden of CRAY. The information on your email is a testimony to this issue. . --Ramin
