Here is the DJ report:

Dow Jones Newswires -- May 15, 1998
Merrill's Kurlak Sees PC Chip Glut, Prices Falling

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Merrill Lynch & Co. analyst Thomas Kurlak issued
another bearish report on Intel Corp. (INTC), saying that the semiconductor giant
now has the ability to make more chips than the market needs.

In a research report dated May 15, Kurlak wrote that Intel's increased production
ability, combined with new supply from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) and
National Semiconductor Corp. (NSM), could lead to a supply glut.

"Clearly, the slower growing PC market cannnot absorb that level of increase in
supply," Kurlak wrote.

As a result, Kurlak predicted that either Intel will have to lay off more workers, or a
price war similar to the one seen in the memory chip market will ensue.

Kurlak maintained his near-term neutral/long term accumulate rating on Intel. His
near-term and long-term rating on AMD is neutral, and his rating on National
Semiconductor is short-term neutral/long term accumulate.

Kulak is taking advantage of the National Semi notice to pile on to Intel. Should create a "buying opportunity."

Let's see what Edelstone says in response (if anything).

Good Morning Bill,

Just dropped by briefly. One of these days
Tom Kurlaq is going to find himself knocked on his butt by some disgruntled intel shareholder who is fed up with his general bs trashing and unethical stock manipulation

Have a good day

Frank
