Al,

I missed the news about "Microsoft got 200 Nextel radios and returned them because the system is not up to par". Or, is this about the posts I've seen regarding MS (Morgan Stanley) not being satisfied with Nextel. Those posts have not been strictly verified, but seem to be on good authority.

By the way, I was in Vegas recently and the construction there is still going gangbusters. How can it keep going like that? Says something about what people are doing with excess money.

Rob

To thread. caught up on some zzz's and organizing info this AM. My tape recording is sometimes marginal because of speaker's voice and/or loudness. If those present at the meeting will post, then we will get a full and accurate accounting. Some of the stuff I will post was with conversations with management and therefore not recorded or part of the official minutes. Anyway, I'll be back soon. I just want to reiterate that we (long) shareholders will be getting positive news from Nextel in terms of our expectations, as discussed on this thread, and other websites. New adds will increase from last Q, and cash flow positive expected this year (national operation). Free cash flow (national and international) late 1999. Profitability, in sense of earnings (couldn't be specific) around 2000 (Let's not forget that two years ago they did not expect to be cash flow positive, nationally, until 2000 - so we could be happily surprised at the 1999 Annual Meeting).

Very exciting news about international operations, goals, and WORLDwide network will be posted later. Management estimates that we have an 18-24 month lead on DC, and by the time someone catches up to us, we will have differentiated our product with exciting new capabilities.

Stay tuned for more.

Bernie

ps, I will respond to individual posts after I get out the info I have.
