Dermot, I hope so. One thing I'm guessing will work against Microsoft is the fact that Klein was there when Anne Bingaman signed off on the (arguably meaningless) consent decree. I don't think brinkmanship and 3 day deadlines will make him forget that. Fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, shame on me.

The whole Windows98 subplot is very entertaining and curious too. Aside from my usual "sucks less" line, the world in flames argument goes against other stuff. Big new features, USB and WebTV, but does USB work? The OEMs have been yawning about WebTV, convergence may be the "push" of '98. Plus, Microsoft keeps telling us it's not for business, and it's the end of the line. But the home market is tiny compared to the business market. The whole thing makes my small mind spin.

Cheers, Dan.
