Jock

I think it was a mere parody of Rocky's previous rantings.

Beta a superior product? Not!

Many Iomegans have pinned their hopes on their one trick pony being first to market with its large installed base. There is no question that an installed base that represents a mere 5% of all PCs world wide is a plus. But to analogize Zip's being first to market to VHS v. Beta is foolish. VHS won out because in the consumer's mind it was the superior technology where it counted. Yes, BETA had superior picture quality, but in the area that truly counted--length of available recording time--VHS was the superior product.
