Perhaps Dell is overpriced but that doesn't negate the fact that it has been historically at least a market out performer. Being overpriced does not mean it won't continue to outperform the market, even the high tech sector. I haven't seen anything to lead me to believe it isn't at least a hold with the average analyst rating of between buy and strong buy. I, for one, do not understand the dell bear philosophy of "get out now, dump the loser". If one could extrapolate from the bear sentiment, Dell stock will be worthless in a week. That is idiotic. I, for one, am extremely bearish on AOL. I fail to understand why they are still in business. But that doesn't mean others aren't clammering to buy their stock and use their service, even such as it is. I can't really imagine anyone on this thread leaping off of buildings if Dell drops back into the $80's in order to catch it's collective breath before breaking $100 and splitting again. Personally, I much prefer slower consistent growth that eradic frenzied euphoric peaks, followed by manic depressions.
