Here's a little related story -

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- After an abnormal mammogram, a doctor
sometimes can use a needle to remove cells for breast cancer
testing, rather than surgically removing tissue for biopsy. Now,
a study suggests that the techniques -- called a fine needle
aspiration and core needle biopsy -- are not only advantageous
to women because they are less invasive, but can save a
significant amount of money.
