Note: I saw DVD at the Blockbuster in Milpitas last week.

Well folks, look for DVD to get a lot easier to find this summer. Word from a very good source is that WalMart plans to roll out DVD to 1,500 of their stores nationwide in June. They'll be carrying at least the top 40 titles at these locations, as well as 2 or 3 different players. Target stores are also rumored to be preparing a late-June, nationwide DVD rollout. Add to that the upcoming Blockbuster Video DVD rollout to 1,000 of their stores (expected within 60 to 90 days), and Hollywood Video's similar plans...

I have it on very good authority that Paramount has in fact decided upon the street date for their Titanic DVD. Look for it on September 1, at an MSRP of $19.96...

I have heard again today, that VSDA will be the likely venue for the Fox DVD announcement. Paramount is also expected to officially announce their first DVD titles and release dates there... Stay tuned!
