Downgraded? What? Analysts were wrong? "Software Group Booms On Millennium Bug"

The computer software industry is still booming partly thanks to the millennium bug, according to latest results from software group Micro Focus.
The company, which was recently DOWNGRADED by US brokers, CONFOUNDED the SCEPTICS with first quarter results showing pre-tax profits up 125% at 8.4 million (œ5 million).

Turnover at the The US-based business, which has a listing on the London Stock Exchange, was up 58% at 48.7 million (œ29.4 million).

Hopefully our Y2k stock will be looked at on an individual basis soon instead of one big group!
