>Zonagen also announced that its 1993 research agreement with German pharmaceutical
manufacturer Schering AG relating to zona pellucida-based contraceptive vaccines is
expected to lapse on or before June 9, 1998. Under the terms of the agreement, Zonagen
was required to fund all development until a lead compound was developed which met
certain specified standards for use in clinical trials. All rights under the agreement revert
back to Zonagen with no further obligation to Schering AG. Schering AG is not affiliated
with Schering-Plough Corporation.<

I was a little interested in this. I assume it means no "lead" compound was developed- in other words, a failure.

RE: 10-Q - No real surprises here. Nobody expected them to make money since no SGP payments were scheduled or due.

I was looking to see how they would handle the numerous class action suits that have been filed. I guess that they have taken the Ostrich approach and chosen to put their head in the sand. (If one ignores them, they will go away.) Normally, companies make some comment such as, "Management believes the lawsuits are without merit and will not have a material effect on operations", or some such. As far as I know, they have never commented on any of the dozen or so suits. If they have, would someone please direct me to their response? Maybe it is in the full filing. Will check next week,
