Thanks 007, I hope you're right about the debt issue. You also nailed it on the head with the presidents. It is very interesting to see how people perceive the policies and results of presidential terms. That democratic congress under Reagan sure didn't do anything worthwhile. If those 8 years weren't the blind leading the blind then i don't know what else to call it. Clinton & the republican congress certainly aren't saints, but, at least they've begun addressing the issues that need to be worked out. I wish they'd do more with social security & medicare though. I don't think people realize what a huge percentage of government outlays that two programs constitute. For all the bitching about welfare and AFDC it is easy to conclude that we are a nation that is penny wise and pound foolish. Good luck, Gary
